Readers Comments about The Curse of Nefertiti by Charline Ratcliff
Charline, I just finished your book last night - I really enjoyed it! I have to admit, in the beginning I was a little iffy about it, but once I got a few chapters in, I ended up not being able to put it down. I actually read it in one sitting! I normally don't enjoy or even buy books that are written in the first person, but once I overcame that personal obstacle, I found that I really enjoyed it!

What a wonderful love story!

Just finished reading your book last night, and wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it. Your time travel premise was really cool, and I liked the way you developed Kayla's remembrances a piece at a time - I couldn't put the book down. I don't know what would be involved in scripting a story like this and adapting it to a form that might be the basis for a movie, but you have an excellent candidate here.

Looking forward to your next book,

OH...MY...GOD...!!! I can honestly say it's one of the best reads I have experienced in a long time.

I read on average three books a week, maybe four. Anything from Martina Cole (London underground gangs, etc.) to Gwen Morgan (Eighteenth century love stories) to Steic Larsson (Millennium Trilogy) to JD Robb (Nora Roberts). You name it, I will read it. lol

You are a born writer. I felt as though I was invited into the story, I felt every touch and every kiss, my stomach wouldn't stop flip flopping…lol...in fact I'm blushing now as I'm writing this! (I don't usually experience such feelings when I read a book!)

Did Sekhmet ever return to Kayla / Nefertiti? I would like to think she did....Eventually...

The ending didn't disappoint me either, it was what I had hoped for.

I am now waiting for your next book. I hope it will be soon! That was a teaser right? :)

Have a good day,

Charline Ratcliff’s book The Curse of Nefertiti was awesome! I sat down with this book, figuring to enjoy my whole weekend with it- I couldn’t stop and didn’t leave my sofa for several hours- I couldn’t put it down! Her storytelling style whisked me right into her tale- there were moments where I thought I was Kayla! The intense relationship Kayla finds is one that transcends through the ages, and makes the reader feel both envious and excited for the couple at the same time. The connection of present day to past lives is so smooth that it seems natural, as though logic and not fantasy has taken us down that path. I believe anyone who needs a few hours out of their day-to-day should pick this up and live as Kayla for a few hours! I’d have to say the only possible downside to Charline’s novels is that it would be impossible for her to write them at the rate I want to read them!!

I can’t wait for her next book to come out!!
